The Slog has a “Who’s Hotter?” contest going between two young, pretty 2010 candidates, Joe Fitzgibbon and Scott Sizemore.(Fitzgibbon, whom PubliCola endorsed yesterday, is running for the state house and Sizemore is running a quixotic race against US Rep. Jim McDermott. We endorsed McDermott, but gave Sizemore a nod).
Last night, I ran into Sizemore at the Streets for All Seattle kickoff. And even though I’m no longer over at The Stranger, Sizemore was in my face about the fact that the Stranger had gushed about how sexy Fitzgibbon is. My advice to Sizemore: Lose the goatee.
He told me the beard kept him from looking too young.
But then, at 1:54 AM, I got this email from Sizemore titled *sigh* that said:
I hate you so much right now. You know why? I just remembered why I never shave that thing. Now I get to enjoy being called Harry Potter for the next two weeks. Thanks, Josh. Thanks.

I think he really has a crush on you, Josh. And quixotic is one way of putting it.
He keeps this crap up, the Republicans For Voldemort lobby will have it in for him.
Joe, I prefer to call them the Party That Shall Not Be Named.
And Michael, quixotic is probably the most appropriate nomenclature.
And Josh, I never said I'm running against Jim McDermott, I'm running FOR the position. I think that's an important distinction. Otherwise it implies that I have ill will towards the incumbent. I just want to give the guy a damn break, he's been at this for 22 years. I can't imagine anybody could keep perspective on a constituency for more than 6 years in a row. Everybody talks about term limits, but when somebody tries to offer a relief valve, they get smacked for being a dissident. It's absurd. Can't I just do the same stuff Jim is doing now, but with the ability to stay up til 3 am every night and without the distraction of a wife and family?

Like it or not Scott Sizemore is an honest,refreshing canditate. His ideas should be given careful consideration. He can make a difference.
