Today on Twitter, I found the love child of wordplay and film geekery:  It’s the #unseenprequels trend.*

Film nerds everywhere are making jokes of varying degress of hilarity about their favorite films and titles.

unseenprequels

Personal favorites so far include “Mingles with Wolves,” “Dude, Where’s My Sled?” (for Citizen Kane), and “Mr. Smith Does a Crossword on a Commuter Train from Delaware.”

Check it out between refreshes of election coverage, even if you don’t have a Twitter account.

*For the Twitter uninitiated, a trend is marked by a “#” and provides anyone with the opportunity to pipe up on a given topic, e.g. #VoteNoOn1.

That meme doesn’t have varying degrees of hilarity. Like LOLCats, it has one degree: 0. Stupid and boring.
